We're More Than Just Great Food, We're Family!

Strings Signage

In 2007, Sharon Cassella established Strings Italian Café in Jackson, a venture that remained under family ownership and operation for over 11 successful years. However, in 2019, Sharon made the decision to sell the business, devoting herself entirely to her passion for Primerica Financial Services. Throughout her tenure at Strings, Sharon's daughter Jenny played a pivotal role, managing and serving alongside her mother.

Our journey into entrepreneurship traces back to 1975 when our family, Sharon's parents, Jenny's grandparents, George, and Monty Kenourgios, embarked on their entrepreneurial journey by opening Home & Farm Supply Kitchen store. Affectionately known as “The Biggest Little Kitchen Store in the Motherlode,” it was the foundation upon which our passion for business was built. Today, that same entrepreneurial spirit thrives as we embrace a new chapter.

George, Sharon's father, used to adore sitting at the bar, enjoying a bowl of minestrone and sipping on coffee while engaging with customers and the staff. In 2012, Jenny transitioned to operate the adjacent Baskin Robbins franchise on a full-time basis. After many years in that role, Jenny and her husband Sean opened Amador Axes & Eats in Jackson next to CVS Pharmacy. Sean, a devoted business partner and family man has been key in our family's business endeavors and shares Jenny's commitment to excellence.
Sharon's husband, Jess, has also played an important role behind the scenes, providing support and guidance throughout our entrepreneurial journey.

When the man to whom Sharon had sold Strings fell ill, Sharon made the decision for our family to reclaim it and run it alongside our other ventures. Jenny and Sean will primarily oversee operations, along with Baskin Robbins and Amador Axes & Eats, while Sharon continues to manage her Primerica Financial Services business in Jackson full-time, offering support to Jenny and Sean when her schedule allows.

Luke Harris, who is like a son to Sharon and a brother to Jenny, has also played a significant role at Strings for many years. He joined the team as a server around 2010 and became an integral part of the family. It was during his time at Strings that Luke met his now-wife Kelly, who was also a server at the restaurant. Together, they have built a beautiful family with two children. Currently, Luke works alongside Sharon at the Primerica office in Jackson but has been instrumental in helping us get Strings back on track. His unwavering support and hard work have been invaluable as we navigate this new chapter.

As we move forward, our dedicated team will continue to be a driving force behind our efforts to elevate the dining experience at Strings. We are thrilled to be back with our focus on enhancing the flavors and quality of our dishes. We're reintroducing many of the "Jackson Favorites", simplifying the menu, and offering several weekday specials. Additionally, we're delighted to announce the addition of two delightful selections from Amador Brewing on tap. As we gradually refresh our décor to enhance your dining experience, we invite you to join us on this journey and become part of our story.

Please understand that adjustments may be necessary along the way, but rest assured, our goal is to recreate the warm, familial atmosphere that Strings has always been known for. It may take us some time to fully realize this vision, but we're committed to making it happen. We're incredibly excited to welcome you back into our restaurant and eagerly anticipate the joy of serving you once again. Thank you for your continued support, and we can't wait to see you again!
